Instrumentation

Our modern well equipped laboratory contains a variety of major instrumentation, including: a Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GCMS); serveral Gas Chromatographs (GC) with Electron Capture Detectors (ECD), Flame Ionization Detectors (FID), Hall Detectors, Nitrogen Phosphorus Selective Detectors (NPD), and Photoionization Detectors (PID); a High Performance Liquid Chromatograph with diode array spectrophotometric and fluorescence detectors and post column derivatization capability; an Ion Chromatograph; several Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers equipped for electrothermal (graphite furnace), flame, and cold vapor generation techniques; and a low background 2 pi proportional counter for detection of alpha and beta radiation.
